Pupil Premium and Flexible Support Teacher - KS1 and KS2

Full Time - Temporary Contract for One Year

Fosse Way Academy is a large, popular, busy and successful school with wonderful pupils, a supportive Governing Body and a great team of people working for the benefit of the children.

For September/October 2018 we are looking for a person of the highest calibre to join our teaching staff.  The successful candidate will be motivated, enthusiastic and set high personal standards. Being able to work in a team is essential and a flexible, creative approach to teaching is also necessary.

Working to support specific, targeted pupils in small groups, one to one or alongside colleagues in the classroom, this role does not involve taking a traditional class for the year, however there may be times when this is necessary. As the post is to support children with targeted interventions, it is expected that the role will include teaching before and after school as well as during the pupils' lunchtime. A personalised approach will be necessary in order to maximise the effectiveness of the role considering the pupils' ages, interests and abilities. It will also be a requirement of the role to engage and work with parents to support their children at home. Due to this, the role would be most suitable to an applicant with proven experience to draw upon.

We expect hard work, dedication and a can do attitude.  In return we can offer a professional, supportive and friendly environment to work in where professional development is greatly valued.

A visit to the school is highly recommended.  For an informal discussion please contact Robert Cowling, the Head Teacher, on 01522 682020.

For an application form please contact the school office on 01522 682020 or email admin@fosse-way-academy.org

Details and application forms are also available on our website at www.fosse-way-academy.org

Closing date for applications is Thursday 30th August with interviews being held in the first weeks of September.

It is strongly recommended that prospective applicants come and visit the school. Please ring to arrange a suitable date and time.

Fosse Way Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.  We welcome applications regardless of age, gender, ethnicity or religion.
