Governance Structure
Our board of Trustees helps the school to set high standards by planning for the schools future and setting targets for school improvement.
The Governance consists of two tiers:
Members
The Members oversee that governance is being carried out effectively by the board of Trutsees. The Members hold an AGM once a year and scrutinise the work completed by the Trustees. Members ensure the Trusttes are legally upholding their responsibilities and improving through holding internal scrutiny of their work.
Governors also known as Trustees,
The governors produce the actions required in scrutinising the follwing is effective.
- Construct a Strategic plan that is measureable and in the best interests of the children. Ensiuring guidance from the DFE is followed.
- Ensure Public money is spent appropriately.
- Scrutinise the operation of the school to ensure improvements are being made for the best outcomes for children.
- Review curriculum action plans.
- Review staffing structures.
- Ensure safeguarding procedures are in place and adhered too.
- Ensure chidren are included and appropriate support is in place for all children.
- Scrutinise admissions to eneure financial security of the school.
- Review Policies.
- Promote Fosse Way Academy.
- Scutinise finanicial accounts.
- Review behavior and attendance.
- Monitor outcomes of all children.
- Monitor premises management.
- Monitor food provided for children is compilant, value for money and regulated.
- Monitor risks to the school.
- Monitor Health and Safety is compliant for staff, children and visitors.
