Teaching Assistants – Qualified to Level 2/3

Fosse Way Academy is a large, popular, busy and successful school with wonderful pupils, a supportive Governing Body and a great team of people working for the benefit of the children.

The role of a Teaching Assistant at Fosse Way Academy is busy and varied - it may be based in a class, providing interventions and/or supporting individual pupils with specific needs, or teaching large groups as part of our PPA cover for teachers. Teaching Assistants could also work to support pupils with identified complex needs such as attachment, ADHD, autism and communication difficulties.

From the academic Autumn Term 2024 (depending on any notice periods) we require qualified teaching assistants to work with classes in our Key Stage 1 or 2 Teams (depending on the strengths of the successful applicant).

The successful candidates will be motivated, enthusiastic and set high personal standards. Being able to work in a team is essential and a flexible, creative approach to teaching is also necessary. The roles require good organisational, personal and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of children.

We expect hard work, dedication and a can do attitude.  In return we can offer a professional, supportive and friendly environment in which to work where professional development is greatly valued.

A formal interview and associated tasks will take place

The post is for 28.75 hours per week (Monday to Friday) and term time only (39 weeks per year). The pay scale is G3 Pt 6-9 (pro rata).
